Short courses are a route to developing the skills and professional qualifications required for specific job roles.

Skills Bootcamps are flexible courses giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with a local employer.

Internships are a route to gaining work experience that might lead to future employment. They offer learners with Education, Health and Care Plans a way to learn transferable skills and gain relevant work experience.

T Levels are designed to help students develop the knowledge and technical skills required for skilled careers. They involve an industry placement alongside classroom study.

Traineeships are skills development programmes designed as a stepping stone for learners with Education, Health and Care Plans to enter an apprenticeship or job.

Vocational courses combine a mix of theory and practical learning and may also be referred to as study programmes. They can include short work experience placements too.
